Norskbloggen is a blog about Norwegian language – written and maintained by Lingu.
In our blog, you’ll meet the two main characters Tor and Samaneh.
Tor is a Norwegian guy who tries to explain features of the Norwegian language and way of life in simple, fun English or “lettnorsk” aka “easy Norwegian”.
Samaneh is a Norwegian student. She calls herself ‘expat’ because she has migrated to Norway partly due to a job offer she got, and partly due to her urge to explore the world and understand a foreign culture. Living in Norway is both challenging and fun.
Needless to say, both characters are fictional, but nevertheless also representative for many who come to Norway for work or family life.
Editor and main author of the blog is Yngvil Vatn Guttu who also happens to be teacher of social studies at Lingu. We also have guest authors posting articles, videos and quizzes from time to time.
Every Thursday, we have a free webinar hosted by Pia Lorentzen Skjennum, who also teaches private lessons in Norwegian at Lingu.
Editor-in-chief is Lingu’s CEO and founder Odd Bjerga.
All illustrations are made by Michela Graziani.
Lingu offers Norwegian language courses for companies and individuals, both online and in traditional classrooms in Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen.
